Flora and Fauna

Flora: Satpura National Park is known for its varied terrain, including dense forests, sandstone peaks, deep gorges, and ravines. It features a mix of sal, teak, and bamboo forests, along with unique rock formations and waterfalls.

Fauna: The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, Indian bison (gaur), sambar, and the endangered Indian giant squirrel. Satpura also boasts over 300 species of birds, making it an excellent destination for bird watchers.

Temperature: Can rise up to 40°C.

Conditions: - Hot, but a good time for wildlife viewing as animals frequent water bodies.

Rainfall: Heavy rainfall during this period. The park remains closed to tourists.

Winter (October to February):

Temperature: Between 10°C to 25°C.

Conditions: - Cool and pleasant, ideal for safaris and trekking. This is the peak tourist season.
