By Air

Sanganer Airport, Jaipur:** The nearest airport, located about 180 km from Ranthambore. There are regular flights to Jaipur from major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore. From the airport, you can hire a direct taxi or take a bus to reach Ranthambore

By Rail:

Sawai Madhopur Railway Station:** The closest railway station, just 10 km from the park. Tourists can easily reach the park by local bus, taxi, or cab from the station.

Flora and Fauna

Flora

The park's vegetation is primarily dry deciduous, with the prominent tree being the 'Dhok,' which constitutes about 80% of the vegetation. Other notable trees include:
- Banyan, Pip (medicinal properties)
- Fruit Trees: Mango, Indian Blackberry, Ber, Jamun,
- Additional Trees: Chhila (Butea monosperma, Flame of the Forest)

Fauna

Ranthambore is rich in wildlife, with the tiger at the top of the food chain. Other animals include:

Weather :

Summer (April to June):

Temperature: Can reach up to 45°C.
Best for Tiger Spotting: Animals often gather around water sources due to the heat.
Clothing: Light cotton clothes in neutral or earthy colors are recommended.Light, breathable clothing in neutral colors is recommended.

Monsoon (July to October)

Rainfall: Kanha receives an average of 1800 mm of rain. The park experiences significant rainfall, rejuvenating the vegetation.
Park Closure: The park is partially closed during the monsoon as it is the breeding season for tigers and to avoid waterlogging.
Weather While the rain brings down the temperature and rejuvenates the forest, navigation can be difficult due to waterlogging.

Winter (November to February):

Temperature:Pleasant daytime temperatures around 19°C, with chilly nights.
Best Season for Visit: The park opens after the monsoon, making it an ideal time for safari rides.
Safari Timings: Two slots each day, one after sunrise and one before sunset. Warm clothing is essential for morning and evening safaris
